In EMDR, the negative charge associated with these memories/experiences is neutralized so your nervous system can finally relax.

  • EMDR is especially helpful for trauma (big or small), anxiety, depression, childhood attachment wounds, medical/health trauma, chronic stress, and mindset patterns that feel hard to break. If you’re feeling stuck or weighed down emotionally and continue feeling “triggered” by your past/have flashbacks of painful memories, EMDR is an evidence-based modality that can support you in your healing.

  • You are a UNIQUE, multi-dimensional human - so the answer is, it’s different for everyone. Some people start to notice relief and shifts after just a few sessions, while others may need gentle time, safety, and trust with ongoing work over time to heal deeper-layered wounds from the past.   • Yes, it absolutely can be. I’ve seen powerful healing happen online. It is my belief that energy has no physical bounds - and I take special care to create a safe emotional and energetic container in your sessions so you can feel the deep therapeutic connection, even online. You can experience the same kinds of shifts you’d expect in person - sometimes even more deeply, because you're already in your own familiar space. It also provides a level of comfort and accessibility you wouldn’t have if you had to drive to sessions, because you have the ability to rest immediately after sessions.

  • My approach is holistic, trauma-informed, and spiritually grounded. I combine EMDR with nervous system healing, spiritual growth practices, and a safe therapeutic relationship so you feel seen, supported, and empowered throughout your healing journey. You are treated through a comprehensive lens of your mind, body, and spirit, vs just that you have a medical diagnosis and “problem” to fix.

  • There are various options for using bilateral stimulation, one of the main components of EMDR, virtually. Examples of various options include eye movements, tapping, tactile buzzers, or audio tones to help your brain reprocess painful memories and release stuck emotional energy. I’ll tailor the process to what feels safest and most effective for you.
